Position Overview:

Hazell Bros has an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor based in our Launceston workshop.  This Full-Time permanent position is critical for providing hands on leadership support to a team of mechanics and apprentices both in our workshop and out in the field.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage employees, set expectations, and drive performance.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities and unexpected challenges in a dynamic workshop environment.
  • Ensure commercial targets are within budget and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Prior experience with scheduling, job delegation and coordination of workshop and field-based employees
  • Manage and develop current external client relationships, promptly addressing queries and working to grow existing relationships.
  • Promote and support a safety culture that effectively manages risks in line with company’s policies and procedures whilst achieving continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification (Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant).
  • The ability to prioritise workloads with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in senior positions within a workshop environment, with a track record of delivering results.
  • Delivery of a high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exposure to a diverse range of fixed and mobile assets in previous position is desirable
  • Current Heavy Rigid and Forklift licences are desirable.
